Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary Inc

Oinking Acres Farm Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Brownsburg, Indiana. Founded in 2017 by Olivia Head, what began as a safe haven for unwanted pot-bellied pigs has grown into a thriving rescue and sanctuary for farm animals of all kinds.

Today, we partner with individuals, local law enforcement, state and government agencies, and organizations across multiple states to respond to cases of abandonment, abuse, neglect, and hoarding. While every county has shelters for cats and dogs, there is almost nowhere for a farm animal to go when it is no longer wanted. Oinking Acres has become that place — a refuge where animals receive the medical care, compassion, and lifelong safety they deserve.

Beyond rescue, we are committed to education and community connection. We offer field trips, private tours, and self-guided walking tours during the warmer months, giving visitors of all ages the chance to meet the animals and learn their stories. Our experienced volunteers help inspire a deeper understanding of farm animals and dispel the misconceptions that often lead to mistreatment.

It’s a large and costly undertaking, but one that will transform how our community experiences the sanctuary and how effectively we can care for the animals.
