Therapeutic riding, a model of equine-assisted therapy, is a powerful intervention that transforms the lives of individuals facing physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges. By harnessing the unique bond between humans and horses, Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding provides a holistic approach to healing and empowerment.

 Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, Inc. has been serving the greater Indianapolis community with equine-assisted therapies and activities since 1998.  Located in the heart of horse country in Zionsville, Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding, Inc. began offering therapeutic riding lessons to a hand full of participants in our founders’ backyard.  As we have continued to grow, we are as determined as ever to stay true to our mission; to enhance the lives of individuals in Central Indiana through equine-assisted therapies and activities. Our team of hero horses are specially selected and trained for this unique work, and our participant families return season after season as they see the benefits of our programs. 

Our riders range in age from 4 years of age to 60+. They are with us to address issues ranging from emotional trauma to cognitive or developmental challenges, to a variety of physical disabilities.  Riders are referred to Morning Dove through teachers, physicians, friends, and other partners.   Our team of dedicated volunteers, specially trained instructors, barn staff, and of course our beautiful horses help make the mission of Morning Dove a reality.
