Our passion for community is in everything we do

At the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC), we believe the most sustainable solutions come from the people who live in our communities. Who knows better what a neighborhood needs than those who walk its streets, meet its neighbors, and share in its future? That’s why we invest in Indianapolis residents and grassroots leaders to build the changes they envision.

For 30 years, we’ve been a partner for neighbors who are ready to turn big ideas into action. Our programs—including the Indianapolis Community Building Institute, Public Allies, and Neighbor Power Indy—provide training, support, and resources to people with a passion for making their communities better. Unlike top-down development, we offer an approach that starts with the power of Indy neighbors, because we know real change happens when it’s community-driven and community-led.

See what happens when neighborhoods lead: watch our creative placemaking short documentary to see how INRC’s support has transformed communities across Indianapolis.
