Updated Final-Day Campaign Description

We believe in an Indiana where Every Neighbor Belongs—where Hoosier Hospitality extends to transgender and gender-diverse people across our state. As public conversations increasingly target trans communities, it is more important than ever that our response is rooted in dignity, compassion, and real support. Too many trans Hoosiers still face barriers to safety, visibility, and participation in daily life.

GenderNexus is one of Indiana’s only trans-led, statewide nonprofits working to change that reality. We help transgender and gender-diverse Hoosiers access affirming counseling, navigate healthcare and legal systems, find community, and receive advocacy and support across the state.

Thanks to incredible community momentum, we have already raised $34,870 from supporters who believe that every Hoosier deserves safety, belonging, and respect. Today is the final day of the Indianapolis Gives Challenge, and we are making our last push toward our $40,000 goal.

These dollars will directly support the expansion of peer-support groups, strengthen care coordination, and deepen statewide education and advocacy by strengthening our organizational capacity. 

Every gift today helps us finish strong—and helps ensure that trans and gender-diverse Hoosiers across Indiana continue to receive the support, community, and affirmation they deserve.
