Our Mission:

Brookside CDC is a community development corporation committed to creating a community of hope by connecting, serving, and walking alongside those in need. Our overarching goal is to see the marginalized transformed by the hope of Jesus!

Our Approach:

Brookside CDC cares for those reentering society from incarceration, homelessness, and addiction as they work toward stability, mirroring Jesus' model of compassion and love. We understand that these individuals encounter substantial obstacles, including limited access to housing, employment, education, and supportive networks. We see each person we serve as an individual, not a statistic, and take a holistic approach to meet the needs of our community.

We mainly achieve this work through our 18-month Isaiah House Residential Program. Our Isaiah Houses provide intensive transitional housing to individuals coming directly out of incarceration, homelessness, and chronic addiction.

Why Indianapolis Gives?

It’s incredibly difficult for single moms who qualify for our programs to provide a stable home for their children. This often results in separation and hardship. At Brookside, we stand up for family unity and support the parents in our program as they rebuild their lives and fight for their families. This is a huge need, but we currently have only one house that can host moms and kids together.

This year, we're raising $50,000 to help open a second Women and Children’s Isaiah House and support more parents building stability for themselves and their children!
